Majorca Family Holidays

Hola niños!

Majorca family holidays truly have something for everyone. With a trendy and cultural capital complemented perfectly with long sweeping bays and secret coves, the biggest island of the Balearics is bustling and vibrant, ensuring the kids will always have something to do.

Majorca is a picturesque haven for young families with its famous stretches of soft, sandy beaches and shallow, warm waters.  The locals simply adore children too, so you can be sure to receive the warmest welcome wherever you go!

Children will love …

  • Filling buckets of water for their moats whilst making new friends and splashing in the tiny, gentle wavelets on the gorgeous family friendly beach at Puerto Pollensa. Your little ones can also look on in awe as local artists create intricate sandcastles along the promenade.
  • Enjoying an ice cream whilst exploring the maze of winding cobbled streets of the charming (and pedestrianised) Alcudia old town. You can also walk up and around the top of the old walls where you will be met with spectacular views of Alcudia and Pollensa Bay.
  • Soaking up the magnificent Majorcan countryside whilst taking the gorgeous and leisurely vintage train (running since 1912) from Palma de Majorca to Port Sóller … sit back and relax whilst the children enjoy the views.
  • Watching the locals haggle over piglets, lambs, chickens and rabbits at Sineu market (Wednesdays) – the only market that still trades livestock. And once you have a taste for the local cuisine why not pop into a local restaurant to sample the local pa amb oli (Majorca’s answer to bruschetta).
  • Tucking into delicious ensaimada pastry and absorbing the buzzing atmosphere at Café C’an Moixet in Pollensa’s main square whilst enjoying your morning coffee and indulge in a spot of people watching.
  • Immersing themselves in the spectacular underwater world that is Palma Aquarium … a must see for parents and children alike. The aquarium provides a truly unique experience, breaking down the barriers between humans and underwater animals and offering activities such as diving with sharks or rays and observation of sharks from a glass bottom boat.
  • Taking a magical boat ride on one of the largest underground lakes in the world at the Caves of Drach. Family holidays in Majorca are full of places which ignite the senses and this breath-taking scenery is a true sight to behold.
