Who are Child Friendly Villas Direct?

We are a family run business based in North Yorkshire, England specialising in advertising Child Friendly privately owned Villas that can be booked Direct with villa owners or villa managers.  Please read About us to find out more.

What makes your villas child friendly?

It is quick and easy to see what child friendly features any particular villa that is listed on Child Friendly Villas Direct has.  Key features are displayed by way of visual icons, allowing you to instantly see what each villa has to offer.  There is also an easy drop down menu for each villa, allowing you to delve into the detail for those child friendly features that are important to you.

Not all villas have the same child friendly features.  One size does not fit all and not all child friendly features are required for children of all ages.  You know your children better than we do and we believe in trusting you to decide what child friendly features are appropriate or required for you and your family.

Most other villa companies and websites do not allow you to quickly and easily understand what child friendly features a villa might have.  They list all villas and you have to wade through the particulars of each villa to try to work this out.  Some villa companies and websites may have basic filters that allow you to select those villas that are apparently “Suitable for children” or “For Kids”, but these are often so general that they fail to offer meaningful help.

All of this is time consuming and frustrating!

What we do differently at Child Friendly Villas Direct is to take the hassle out of your initial villa search, providing you with a selection of villas that have child friendly features that are instantly visible for you and that you can easily review in detail for yourself.  The list of child friendly features that we allow you to review is comprehensive – not basic.

Do all your villas have baby and toddler features?

Most of the villas listed on Child Friendly Villas Direct have features that are specifically for babies and toddlers, such as cot(s) and highchair(s), and usually have many more features that will make your villa holiday as child friendly as it needs to be.  The child friendly features for each villa are listed on each villa’s listing page.

How can I search for villas that have the child friendly features that are important to me?

Our Advanced Search facility means that you can select and search by the child friendly facilities that are important to you.    

To make your search as user-friendly as possible, we have selected the following key criteria as filters in the “More Options” section of the Advanced Search:

How do I book?

Each booking is made directly with the villa owner or villa manager.

Once you have found a villa that you would like to book, simply use either our Contact Owner or Check Availability & Calculate Villa Price function to send a secure email to the villa owner or villa manager to confirm availability, total price and to specify any other comments for your booking.

Villa owners and villa managers are encouraged to reply to enquiries as soon as possible and within 24 to 48 hours.

Once you are successful in making a booking, we recommend that you arrange to call the villa owner or villa manager to confirm your arrangements before you make payment.

Do I need to create a Child Friendly Account to send an email to a villa owner?

Yes. We want to avoid spam emails and phishing. You need to create a Child Friendly Account so that emails are sent securely.

Do I need to create a Child Friendly Account to create my Shortlist?

Yes. You must create a Child Friendly Account in order to create your Shortlist.

How do I access the villas on my Shortlist?

Once you are logged into your Child Friendly Account, your Shortlist is easily accessible from the Shortlist button on all pages.

How can I find out availability?

Each villa has an availability calendar on its listing page, which in most cases is kept up-to-date by the villa owner or villa manager, which allows you to see availability quickly at a glance.

Also, our Check Availability & Calculate Villa Price function on each villa listing page allows you to insert your required holiday dates and automatically calculate the total villa price for those dates.  If you then click the Send Booking Enquiry to Villa Owner button, you will automatically send an email to the villa owner or villa manager to enquire as to the availability of that villa for your requested dates.

Finally, you can send an email to the villa owner or villa manager through the Contact Owner function, through which you will be asked to input your required dates for the villa owner or villa manager to confirm availability.

What are the prices for villa rental?

Each booking is made directly with the villa owner or villa manager.  Prices are transparently listed and the applicable prices for each villa are clearly set out on each villa’s listing page. 

Our Check Availability & Calculate Villa Price function on each villa listing page allows you to insert your required holiday dates, which then automatically calculates the total villa price for those dates for you. 

All prices on Child Friendly Villas Direct are set by the villa owner or villa manager.

How do I make a payment?

Each booking is made directly with the villa owner or villa manager and payment is made directly to them.  The villa owner or villa manager will advise you how to make a payment.

Do I pay a booking fee to Child Friendly Villas Direct?

No, your booking is directly with the villa owner or villa manager.  There are no hidden charges or hidden extras payable to Child Friendly Villas Direct.  You do not make any payment to Child Friendly Villa Direct.  Prices are transparently listed and the applicable prices for each villa are clearly set out on each villa’s listing page. 

What time can we arrive from?

Generally most villa owners and villa managers operate an arrival time from 4pm (local time).  This may vary between villas.  As bookings are made directly with villa owners and villa managers, you are able to liaise with them to discuss your own particular circumstances.

What time do we have to depart?

Generally most villa owners and villa managers operate a departure time of 10am (local time).  This may vary between villas.  As bookings are made directly with villa owners and villa managers, you are able to liaise with them to discuss your own particular circumstances.

Can villa owners arrange to provide any items for us on arrival?

As bookings are made directly with villa owners and villa managers, you are able to liaise with them to discuss your own particular circumstances and requirements.

Are cleaning and linen included in the price?

Each villa owner and villa manager will operate its own policies in respect of cleaning services and linen.  Please ask them when liaising regarding your booking.

Is Child Friendly Villas Direct ABTA or ATOL regulated?

You search and find villas on Child Friendly Villas Direct and then make bookings directly with the villa owner or villa managers.  We do not provide travel agency services and so are not ABTA or ATOL regulated.
